Active Shooter school massacre video game branded ‘disgusting’ and ‘horrific’ by Parkland victim parents
A video game that was set to allow people to play as a school shooter has been branded “disgusting” and “horrific” by parents who lost children in the Parkland mass shooting.
The game Active Shooter appeared on the Steam Store gaming platform, which has over 100 million users, earlier this month, and promised to allow players to be either the shooter or SWAT team in a school shooting.
A trailer for the game showed a school shooter stalking the corridors with automatic weapons, a knife and grenades with an on-screen tally of how may “Civs” or “Cops” had been killed.
I have seen and heard many horrific things over the past few months since my daughter was the victim of a school shooting and is now dead in real life. This game may be one of the worst.

This is inexcusable. Any company that develops a game like this in wake of such a horrific tragedy should be ashamed of itself. https://t.co/jjp6LxNWhC
